Hi friend, I’m Alyssa! I’m a Christian, aunt, daughter, sister, friend and yes- a social worker. I’m a firm believer the best conversations take place over a good cup of coffee (bonus points if dessert is included). When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my family, reading, planning my next vacation, or apparently…writing a blog.
I’ve always felt pulled towards Hospice work, but wow- I never could’ve imagined how deeply this work would change (and challenge) me. Some days it feels like my heart is too full to keep it all in, so here I am, spilling some of those big feelings into cyberspace.
Around here we’ll talk about faith, hospice, messy emotions, imposter syndrome (hi, old friend), and hopefully laugh a little bit, too. Basically it’s a mix of the tender and the real. I’m so glad you’re here- it means more than you know.
